Clinical Intern

Internship is a crucial milestone for individuals pursuing careers in the helping professions. Our interns are graduate students currently enrolled in accredited programs such as Counseling, Rehabilitation Counseling, or Social Work. They have either completed or are on the verge of completing all required coursework in their graduate programs and are actively working to fulfill internship hours required for licensure in a mental health field.

Supervision & Consultation

Collaborating with a Clinical Student Intern offers the unique advantage of accessing the expertise of multiple licensed providers simultaneously! Our interns receive mandatory weekly clinical supervision from licensed clinician. Moreover, they are under the guidance of professors in their graduate programs.

In addition to clinical supervision, our interns participate in regular consultations with members of our clinical staff. These consultations involve receiving constructive feedback from peers regarding their work with individual clients. This collaborative approach exposes interns to various therapeutic styles and techniques, providing you with a provider equipped to address your concerns through diverse professional and clinical lenses. It's important to note that no identifying information about clients is shared during these consultations.

Payment of Interns

Our Clinical Intern Supervisors at Exhale Integrative Services are dedicated to ensuring the success of future therapists in their mental health careers. All fees collected from services they provide, 100% of them, are invested in the professional development of our interns. The cost per session and/or external partners supervision costs covers the expenses related to interns' supervision, professional headshots, marketing, consultations, and training, contributing significantly to enhancing their clinical practice and education. When you choose to work with a Clinical Student Intern, you are actively contributing to the growth and development of the next generation of helping professionals in the field of mental health.

Expecatations

Here at Exhale Integrative Services, Clinical Student Interns have the same expectations as all other clinicians on the team, including maintaining a caseload and completing administrative tasks. However, interns execute these expectations on a smaller scale to make room for other expectations as outlined by their graduate programs.

Benefits & Cost

At Exhale Integrative Services, our interns have the flexibility to schedule clients on a sliding scale or "based on income" basis applying for an agency specific income based agreement.

We strongly believe that financial considerations should never hinder access to exceptional counseling services. Our Internship Program plays a pivotal role in allowing Exhale Integrative Services to extend a warm welcome to clients who may be uninsured or facing budget constraints, ensuring that professional therapeutic support is accessible to all.
